Escorihuela Gascon


 

In 1880 Miguel Escofihuela Gascòn, at age 19, immigrated to Argentina from Aragon, Spain. His first experience working with wine was in a grocery store in Buenos Aires where he recieved 300 litre oak barrels of wine from Mendoza. In 1882 he moved to Mendoza and started a partnership in a grocery store. Within two years, he managed to buy 17 hectares of land, plant vineyards and begin the construction of Bodegas Escorihuela.
